PRE-ORDER Jane Brettle - Ambit: a work in progress

All pre-orders will be shipped from 14th March.

Ambit: A Work in Progress is the third title in our Scottish Photographic Artists Series, and it honours an artist whose practice has helped shape Scotland’s photographic culture while remaining restlessly experimental. Jane Brettle’s career carries a rare combination of intellect, craft, and public purpose: a willingness to test photography’s limits while building places – galleries, publications, seminar spaces and workshops – where others can learn, argue, and make. From its opening evocation of a post-war threshold, Ambit sets out the contexts that inform Brettle’s art and the convictions that sustain it.

This book contains essays by Alice Bain, Nicky Bird, Prof Reina Lewis, Prof Joanna Woodall, and Prof Christine Battersby.

The book is 170 pages and includes full colour images. The softcover comes in a colour cover, while the hardcover comes in grey.
