Submission Guidelines for Contributors to Studies in Photography
Types of Articles
We offer the opportunity to submit an idea for a full-length article or a review. A full-length article may cover historic or contemporary photographers and a (shorter) review may cover exhibitions or books, similarly, on topics of historic or contemporary photography. The Journal is published twice yearly usually in the summer and winter.
A full-length article should be 2000-3000 words in length, with a balance between text and images.
A review article should be between 500-1000 words in length, offering a selection of images from the publication or exhibition
